About Kirk Neufeld Jones

Both Doug and Mikki were born in British Columbia and attended the University of British Columbia, where they each completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree- Mikki in Sociology, Doug in English. Doug's post graduate work was done in Colorado. They have four children and enjoy skiing, cycling, and reading. When they require time by themselves, you will often find Mikki out back gardening, and Doug hiking the local trails.

Community and civic responsibility are a priority for Doug, who, for 10 years has acted on behalf of the Kelowna Art Gallery (1998 President) where he spearheaded the building of the new gallery. Doug is currently Chairman of the newly formed Public Art Committee and is working on some exciting new art projects at the airport and in the city itself. He was Chairman of the Kamloops School board in the mid-seventies and was also a member of the Board of Directors for Caribou College and the local YMCA during this time.
